Executive District Officer Community Development assists the District Co-ordination Officer and the Zila Nazim in all the important cases under the rules. He executes the sanctioned policy and is responsible for efficient administration and discipline of his group of offices. He also keeps the higher authorities informed about the working of his group of offices. He also issued orders about careful observance of the rules.

Labour & Human Resource
The major functions of this department are:
- Redress the grievances of workers employed in factories with regard to non-payment delayed and deducted wages
- Inspection, verification and re- verification of commercial weights & measures under the Punjab Weights & Measures Act
- Execution of Welfare Schemes
- Implementation of labour laws on the Shops & Commercial Establishments
- Disposal of cases regarding payment of wages and compensation
Special Education
Special Education Wing is dealing with special children who have:
- Hearing Impairment (Deaf & Dumb)
- Visual Impairment (Blinds)
- Physical/Mental Disability
- Learning Disability
Following facilities are provided to special children:
- Free pick & drop, text books and uniforms
- Monthly stipend Rs. 200 to each student
- Free hearing aids, crutches and wheel chairs
- Free nutritional facility & recreation trips
- Free diagnostics and educational assessment
Cooperatives Department
The major functions of this department are:
- Organization, registration and monitoring of cooperative societies
- Provision of the credit and promotion of the thrift
- Monitoring and supervision of the Cooperative Societies
- To facilitate the Cooperative Societies in credit provision in advances of cooperative credit and recovery cooperative dues
- Promotion of cooperative movement and cooperative education through the cooperative field staff
- Cooperative Department aims to improve the economic condition of people on the basis of self help mutual aid
Social Welfare( Women Development & Bait-ul-Maal)
The major functions of this department are:
- Formation, Registration and control of Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies
- Training to women through Education & Skill
- Help/Assist the poor patients and disable persons
- Registration of Citizen Community Boards
- Assist District Government during flood, other emergencies and various assignments
- To provide immediate boarding and lodging facilities for runaway/ disadvantageous women in the district
