If you are employed by an industrial or commercial establishment, your employer is bound by certain laws to provide some benefits at the time of termination of services. According to the Industrial and Commercial Employment (Standing Orders) Ordinance, 1968 where 50 (in case of industry) or 20 (in case of commercial establishment) workers are employed, one month's notice or wages in lieu of one month notice have to be given to the worker. Under clause 25 (A) of the Industrial Relations Ordinance, 1969, a worker can bring his grievance to the notice of employer within 3 months of the grievance (including termination). If the employer does not provide the remedy, then he can go to the Labour Court for redressal of his grievance. | ||
