Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has announced to establish the first cancer hospital of the Punjab government. CM Mohsin Naqvi announced to establish a cancer hospital during his visit to the Indus Hospital accompanied by the founder members of Indus Foundation Iqbal Ahmed Qureshi, Mian Muhammad Ahsan, Javed Arshad Bhatti, SM Pervaiz, Anwaar Ahmed Khan and while talking with the media. CM said that the Indus Hospital at Jubilee Town will be transferred to the Punjab government. The administrative matters will be taken care of by the Indus Foundation. Complete cancer treatment facility will be provided to the common man in the Indus Hospital at Jubilee Town. I felt heartily consoled after seeing the quality of Indus Hospital. Their is a dearth of hospitals like the international standard Indus Hospital in Pakistan. The trustees established the Indus Hospital with full devotion and love like their own house. The philanthropists establishing Hospital for the masses are infact earning a great noble deed and Allah Almighty will reward them. The splendid condition in which the hospital is seen today is owing to the result of trustees' noble intentions. There is no cancer hospital across Punjab for providing 100 percent free cancer treatment to the people. We were holding negotiations with Mian Ahsan and Indus Authorities one month ago. It is the duty of the Punjab government and need as well. Their should be a separate cancer hospital at the government level. One month earlier, Mian Ahsan prayed for having a separate cancer hospital for the Punjab government. Allah Almighty listened to his prayer and we are ready to take over the hospital. We will run it by making a cancer hospital in case of transferring it to the Punjab government. Allah Almighty listened to our prayer and we will quit after getting completed a cancer hospital in our tenure. The cancer hospital will be run on the model of Tayyip Erdogan model. Our preparations are complete and we are hundred percent ready to run the cancer hospital. Indus Foundation will run the cancer hospital. Indus Hospital will be the first government cancer hospital of Punjab. The expenditure of Indus Hospital will amount to rupees 8 billion annually as a government hospital and its expenditure will increase up to rupees 16 billion with the establishment of a cancer hospital. The expenditures will be doubled due to expensive treatment of the cancer patients. The founder member of the Indus Foundation Mian Muhammad Ahsan said that after completing the transfer process to the government in 2 days, we will start other measures. We thank CM Mohsin Naqvi who announced to take over the Indus Hospital. People not only from Punjab but from the whole of Pakistan will visit Indus Hospital for their treatment. We deem the hospital as a source of our forgiveness and will work jointly with the Punjab government. Anwwar Ahmed Khan held a prayer in the end. Earlier, CM Mohsin Naqvi paid a detailed visit to the Indus Hospital, inspected various wards and reviewed medical facilities as well as its machinery. CM inquired from the patients and their attendants about medical facilities provided in the Indus Hospital. Mohsin Naqvi lauded the quality facilities for the treatment of patients. Provincial Ministers Amir Mir, Azfar Ali Nasir, Chief Secretary, Secretary C&W, Secretary Health, Commissioner Lahore division, CCPO, Deputy Commissioner, DGPR and concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
