CM Mohsin Naqvi Visits Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop 3 Project

Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi visited Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop 3 project late-night and reviewed ongoing construction activities at the site near Maraka. CM Mohsin Naqvi inspected the construction works. FWO Brigadier Fakhar Qadri informed CM Mohsin Naqvi about the progress being made on the project. CM was briefed about the progress being made on earthwork and subways. CM Mohsin Naqvi gave necessary directions with regard to early completion of the project. CM presided over a meeting at the camp office of FWO. CM was given a briefing about the completed works of the project. CM while addressing the meeting stated that the people will be provided best transportation facilities with the completion of Ring Road Southern Loop 3 project. The project is being taken forward with high quality. Residents of all government and private housing schemes around Multan Road will be benefited. Punjab government will give complete support for timely completion of the project. CM Mohsin Naqvi while talking to the media after visiting the Lahore Ring Road Southern Loop 3 project said that the amount of work being done at night is the same which is done during day time. 1200 to 1400 dumpers are pouring soil daily. We are completing the SL-3 project according to the timelines. InshaAllah this project will be completed in January. Multan Road Interchange is a big project and will be completed by December 25. Nespak is ensuring best quality work. Metrobus and Orange Line Metro Train fares have not been hiked for years. When petrol became expensive, many  summaries were submitted but the fares were not increased despite the pressure  public transport fares were not increased. There was already a lot of pressure on the people and students and we took a stand not to increase the fares. We are working to make local buses travel free for students. We are planning to establish a commercial area surrounding Gujranwala and SL3. By the Grace of Allah Almighty, the air quality index of Lahore is much better during the current year. He said that last year we were at number one regarding bad air quality, now we are at number 27. Water is being sprinkled on the construction sites so that smog does not increase. It is our utmost effort to complete the projects which have been started. The completion of the SL-3 project will provide an alternative route to the traffic coming from South Punjab. Provincial Minister Bilal Afzal, IG Police, CCPO, Secretary C&W and concerned officials were also present on the occasion.
