Peshawar Press Club KP Journalists Visit PSCA

A delegation of 11 Senior Journalists and Analysts representing the media fraternity of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa visited Punjab Police Integrated Command Control and Communication center (PPIC3) to secure first-hand insight of the faculty. The delegation comprised of print and electronic media icons, stemming from Peshawar Press Club.

The Chief Operating Officer of Punjab Safe Cities Authority, Akbar Nasir Khan briefed the delegation about various arms and functions of the project and the advanced technologies supporting the same. The COO accompanied the entourage throughout the PSCA’s premier project PPIC3 which acts as a consolidated hub of integrated policing regulating swift Emergency & Police responses including, but not limited to, intelligent traffic management, dispatch of Punjab Police, PRU and Dolphin Force, 1122 Emergency response, Criminal Identification/ Investigations, virtual surveillance and Media Monitoring. The Journalism veterans expressed awe and excitement on witnessing marvel of latest technologies employed by the project. They termed the mass engagement of tech-savvy youths a guarantee to Pakistan’s bright future. Such sophisticated & integrated security projects must be emulated across Pakistan, they added. The journalists said that such latest technologies and skilled work force ins mandatory to succeed in the ongoing war on terror.
