Provincial Minister Human Rights and Affairs of Minorities Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that the Punjab government is committed to ending violence against women and negative social behavior. He said that women are 50% of our population, which are doing significant services in the development and prosperity of the country. He expressed these views while meeting with a delegation of member of provincial Assembly’s Minorities women. The delegation told the provincial minister that under the global campaign from U.N to eliminate violence against the women, minority’s women also performing vital role among other women. Minority’s women are also taking part in the 16-day global campaign to eliminate violence against women. The Minister of HMRTS said that women have a major role in the development and prosperity of Pakistan. At present, a large number of women are working in every institution and the Punjab government is providing protection and opportunities for representation of women in every field. He said that it is admirable that minority’s women also among other women are performing a great role in the development of Pakistan.
