Inexpensive and Quality Edibles in Ramadan Bazars

Senior Advisor to Punjab Chief Minister, Senator Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa has said that provision of daily use items at quality and affordable rates have been ensured for the citizens in Ramazan Bazars. He was talking after making a detailed visit of Ramazan Bazars set up at Model Town, Wahdat Colony, Johar Town, Samanbad, Gulsham Ravi, Islampura and Dehli Gate. Member National Assembly Bilal Yasin, Secretary Agriculture, Secretary Food, Secretary Industry, Commissioner Lahore Division and DCO Lahore were also present on the occasion.
 
During his visit, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa inspected various stalls of Ramazan Bazars and inquired about the rates from the buyers of daily use items. During his visit to Wahdat Colony Ramazan Bazar, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa found the weight of atta bag and sugar bag less than the standard bag. The Commissioner Lahore Division directed to register a case against the shopkeeper, while Director Food Punjab directed the truck carrying less weight atta bag back and asked for a new truck. He also ordered immediate closure of the concerned flour mill which was sending atta bags with less weight to Ramazan Bazars. Talking to media Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa said that Punjab government is conducting continuous monitoring of provision of edibles to the citizens at Ramazan bazaars at the fixed rates and quality. He said that all officers present on the duty at Ramazan Bazars have been asked to submit their suggestions regarding provision of inexpensive and quality edibles, so that system could be further improved. He said that no one would be allowed to exploit the citizens. He said that complaint registers have been placed in Ramazan Bazars where the buyers can register their complaints in case of any difficulty, while their complaints would be removed promptly.
 
When the Senior Advisor Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa asked the buyers about their opinion on quality and prices of daily use items, they expressed their satisfaction and paid glowing tributes to Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif for provision of daily use items at affordable rates. The buyers said that Chief Minister has always took care of the poor, and they are thankful to him to ensure provision of edibles. Talking to the citizens, Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa said that Punjab Chief Minister, Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif has announced special package worth four billion rupees for the convenience of those observing fast in the holy month of Ramazan, along with ensuring availability of atta, sugar, pulses and fruits at affordable rates in Ramazan Bazars.
