Provincial Minister Chaired A High Level Meeting On Child Labor

Provincial Minister for Labor and Human Resource Raja Ashfaq Sarwar chaired a high level meeting on Child Labor. All the representative of the concerned departments were also present in the meeting. In the meeting a detailed review of the steps taken for the elimination of the child Labor came under discussion. Different aspects were discussed from different angels in this progress review meeting. It is told in the meeting that along with the campaign against child labor in brick kilns the other three the sector of child Labor is also included in this campaign. Uptill now 14 thousands CNICs of the family heads has been issued. A rigorous campaign is in its full swing to trace out the migrated children and a big junk of migrated children has been traced. And necessary actions is  being taken in this regard.

It was told to the chair the PC-1 has been approved under  which the scope of campaign against child labor would be enhanced to all the other 36 districts  simultaneously. Due to this  PC 1 children from 5 to 15 years would be enrolled in the primary education and further skill  training will be  provided to them. The target of 257000 is also  increased to 344000. All the children will be included in the online system so that any child can be identified at any time. On this occasion the representatives of PITB told that all this process is being maintained on the latest technology and dedicated team of PITB will work along with the department in this regard.
