Secretary P&S Healthcare Chaired Meeting on Ehsaas Nashunma Initiative under World Food Program

Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department Imran Sikandar Baloch met with delegation of Ehsas Nashunma under World Food Program. Meeting attendees included country director UN World Food Program Chris Kaye, Head of Nutrition Dr. Mahmood, Nutrition Officer Dr Yasir Ehtisham and other officers. In the meeting Director General Health services Dr Haroon Jahangir and Director IRMNCH were also present. Ehsaas Nashunma program is working in collaboration of Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department. Under this flagship program, deprived families of Rajanpur and Khanewal Districts will be provided with essential financial support on priority. During the meeting Secretary Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, Imran Sikandar Baloch assured to properly  facilitate the benificeries of this program. He further added, " Pregnant women and children are core targets of this program." Provision of Nutritional food and health and hygiene facilities to the core target would be our prime focus." Initially this program is initiated in eight THQ and DHQ hospital of  two districts Rajanpur, Khanewal and later this would be expanded to other districts of Punjab. Later Chris Kaye assured their assistance to provide all facilities for mother and children health, food and nutrition. They also assured to cooperate for successful completion of this program with Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department in district Rajanpur and Khanewal.
