Bangladeshi and Pakistani Women Cricket Teams Visit PSCA

Pakistani and Bangladeshi women cricket teams visited Punjab Safe Cities authority headquarters here on Sunday. They were received and briefed by MD Malik Ali Amir, COO Akbar Nasir Khan and CAO Muhammad Kamran Khan. DIG operations Lahore Ashfaq Ahmed Khan, SSP operation Lahore Muhammad Naveed and PCB representative were also there in the authority. Both the teams were taken to various sections of IC3 where they addressed the police communications officers. Later the Bangladeshi team manager and MD PSCA addressed the media along with both team captains. Bangladesh Women Cricket Team Coach Javed Omar Balim said that Pakistan is a safe place for cricket and sports should not be affected in the name of security protocols. He said that their families were worried about visiting Pakistan but they have seen tremendous security arrangements here in Pakistan. Bangladeshi men national cricket team will be visiting Pakistan in January, he added. Miss Romana Ahmed, Captain Bangladeshi women cricket team said that they received lots of love in Lahore and they have enjoyed playing good cricket here. Security arrangements are of international standards, added Romana Ahmed. Speaking on the occasion, Pakistani captain Bisma Maroof said that the best security arrangements have brought cricket back to Pakistan and we are grateful to all security agencies for such support. Woman cricketers said that the presence of large number of women police communication officers in PSCA workforce and their expertise are commendable. Managing Director PSCA Malik Ali Amir told media that all security agencies are working as a team and we welcome more countries to come and play in Pakistani grounds. Both teams were handed over souvenirs and gifts at the end of their memorable visit.
