Provincial minister HR&MA Ijaz Alam Augustine has said that Punjab Human Rights policy covers the rights of child, women, minorities, persons with disabilities & special needs, senior citizens and transgender persons. He said that the government of PTI taking effective steps at the provincial and federal level to protect the basic human rights especially protecting rights of minorities. The Minister expressed these views while meeting with representatives of minorities belonging to different districts at camp office of human rights on Monday. The minister said that culture of intolerance has damaged our social and political scenario. He also condemned the continued curfew in occupied Kashmir as the worst violation of humanity and said that brutality of Indian forces increasing day by day, which could be threat of peace in the region.
