Independence Day to Be Celebrated as Kashmir Solidarity Day

The Punjab government has decided to hold ceremonies to celebrate Independence Day as Kashmir Solidarity Day while August 15 will be celebrated as Black Day. The chief minister said that special ceremonies, rallies and seminars will be held to show solidarity with the Kashmiris. He said that no one has accepted the most controversial Indian government’s decision of changing the status of Occupied Kashmir. We vigorously protest this undemocratic and unconstitutional act of Modi government and would continue to do so, he added.
