Walk & Symposium at LGH on International Women’s Day.

On the eve of International Women Day an awareness walk and symposium would be talking place at Lahore General Hospital on March 08, Thursday, (today) where doctors, nurses and other female staff and students would be participating while Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and Ameer Uddin Medical College Prof. Ghias un Nabi Tayyab would deliver concluding remarks. According to the details on Thursday March 08 at 09.30am a walk would be organized from Admin Block to Lahore General Hospital while around 10.00am at auditorium of Punjab Institute of Neuro Sciences a Symposium would take place where Prof. Dr. Fakhar un Nisa would chief guest and Prof. Samia Malik will be guest of honor. Prof. Farhat Naaz, Prof. Nuzhat Khawaja and Shumaila Khalid would also spoke on the occasion and a large number of medical students would also be there. As per program, Associate Professor Dr. Amna Jawaid would deliver lecture on Woman’s Empowerment and Prof. Farha Shaif, Nursing Superintendent Razia Bano will spoke on general health issues of women community. Similarly, Dr. Mamoona Sharif will be having lecture on domestic violence and Dr. Shabnam M. Ali to speak on reproductive health. In the symposium, Dr. Ayesha Khalid to talk on children of working women and Dr. Ayesha Rasheed to speak on the topic of harassment at work place. Dr. Shumaila Khalid told that this symposium would cover the main issues relating to the women community and also create awareness on the health of working women. Lady Doctors and nurses are enthusiastic about holding of such seminar and symposium which would help them and provide opportunities to cover their interests. On the eve of International Women Day this event being held at Lahore General Hospital would be important of its own kind.
