Provincial Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Khawaja Imran Nazir has said that TEHFAZ E SEHAT camps are being established in 725 health facilities across the province. He said that 08 lacs people will be screened in these 6 days starting from 19 Feb to 24 Feb. Minister said that Punjab Government is providing free test and screening of hepatitis B, C, TB, AIDS and Diabetes. He said that Government is committed to provide free health facilities to the people at their door step. Khawaja Imran Nazir requested the citizens that they should benefit from free test facility by visiting these campuses in order to protect their health. He expressed these views while addressing the Special Meeting on arrangements of 2nd health week here today. Secretary PSHD and other Health officials attended the meeting. On this occasion, Khawaja Imran Nazir said that purpose of celebrating Health Week is to provide free of cost medicines and test facilities to the people. He said that the primary and secondary health care department is providing free medicine of worth Rs. 12 billion to hepatitis B, C, TB and AIDS patients. Khawaja Imran Nazir directed that all the CEOs, MS and other officers should take every possible effort to make health week successful. He said that he along with Secretary Ali jan khan will visit various districts to monitor the health week. Minister also assigned special duties to officers for monitoring health week. While addressing the meeting, Secretary Health Ali Jan Khan said that department has provided logistics, medicines and vaccinations regarding Health Week to all districts. He said that department will not tolerate any kind of negligence during this week.
