Services of foreign companies will be sought for non-clinical including Janitorial, laundry & housekeeping management of the Pakistan Kidney & Liver Institute & Research Centre (PKLI). A road-show was arranged by the delegation headed by Secy. Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education (SH&ME) Punjab Najam Ahmad Shah, which was attended by top-level companies of Turkey having long experience in providing janitorial, Pest control, laundry, catering & other services. Secy. Najam Ahmad Shah said that the purpose of the road-show was to attract Turkish companies & investors to provide services at PKLI & other mega institutes of Punjab. He added that PKLI is besides; being a hospital of international standards will also be a research centre where educational & teaching facilities will be provided as per international standards. He said services of janitorial, hygiene, housekeeping, pest control, laundry & other non-clinical departments at the institute would be outsourced to the companies & organisations having vast experiences in such fields. The delegation of SH&ME department included officers of Infrastructure Development Authority Punjab (IDAP) along with representatives of PKLI.
