SH & ME Department Introduces Central Induction Policy For Nurses Admission Online Nurses Admission On 1665 Seats Of 43 Nursing Schools Completed.

Punjab Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Department has achieved another milestone by introducing online central induction system for the admission of nursing schools of the province after successful launching of Postgraduate Central Induction Policy. For the first time admissions on 1665 seats of 43 nursing schools have been carried out through online central induction system and the merit list of all the nursing schools have been displayed on the website. A spokesman of the department has informed that out of 1665 seats 516 are open merit seats while 1089 seats are of closed quota and 44 seats are LHV / Midwifery and the departmental seats are 16. The spokesman further said that merit lists for all the 43 nursing schools can be seen on the website http://result.pna.punjab.gov.pk.

While commenting on the new system, Secretary Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Najam Ahmed Shah revealed that the basic objective of taking all the steps and introducing new initiatives is to further improve the quality of medical and nursing education by ensuring merit and transparency so that medical professionals of international standard could be produced to meet the future challenges and ensure provision of quality health services in the hospitals. Najam Ahmed Shah further said that this system has been evolved with the collaboration of Punjab Information Technology Board which has prepared software for the system. He said that the new system would eliminate the chances of all kind of negative practices and only transparency and merit would be prevailed.
