Ground breaking ceremony of North Medical Ward, Mayo Hospital was held on Sunday. Tajamal Foundation has taken the responsibility to build a state-of-the-art 5 story building of historical North Medical Ward of Mayo Hospital at a cost of Rs.130 million. The covered area of the building would be 40 thousand sqf. Begum Mian Tajamal Hussain (late) unveiled the plaque of foundation stone of the building. Mian Nusrat Hussain younger brother of late Mian Tajamal Hussain and other family members, coordinator of the project Prof. Muhammad Awais, Medical Superintendent Dr. Tahir Khalil and the technical consultants were present on the occasion. Prof. Muhammad Awais informed that family of late Mian Tajamal Hussain is spending Rs.130 million on this project. He said that all necessities including H-VAC system is also part of the project which would be completed within a year. He said that the building of being constructed in the memory of Mian Tajamal Hussain by his family and thousands of patients would get benefit from this act of charity.
