Training Programme for the First Batch of Staff Hired For PKLI-HPTP

A six day training program for the first batch of staff hired for clinics being setup under Pakistan Kidney & Liver Institute's Hepatitis Prevention and Treatment Program (PKLI-HPTP) started this morning at PKLI site on Bedian road, Lahore. The HPTP program is a flagship initiative of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif whereby government of Punjab is collaborating with PKLI&RC to set up and run hepatitis clinics in 36 districts of Punjab where free screening, vaccination, and treatment will be provided to the community. The trainees present included medical officers, nursing and other paramedics that will be deputed at these clinics of PKLI. In the first batch of 40 trainees attended the training and assured their commitment to eliminate hepatitis and to take forward the vision of CM Punjab and PKLI of hepatitis free Pakistan.
