Ayesha Ghaus Pasha Distributes Cattles Among Women

The Provincial Minister for Finance Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha has said that distribution of cattle among the special women getting monthly stipend from Khidmat Cards is another revolutionary step of Punjab Government which will help in providing honorable job to those suffering from physical disability instead of receiving charity. She said that this pilot project started from Gujranwala with a huge amount 600 million for distribution of more than 2500 sheep, goats and cows will be helpful for the deserving women of Sheikhupura and Nankana Sahib for selling dairy products enabling them to earn livelihood for their families.

                        She expressed these views while addressing a simple ceremony arranged in collaboration with Punjab Social Protection Authority and livestock and dairy development department for distribution of cattle among disabled women benefitting from Khidmat Cards at Sheikhupura cattle mandi. The Provincial Minister said that distribution of unconditional stipend among such disabled person as have the ability to work is tantamount to cruelty who are snatching the right of spending normal life and their self suffiency. That is why Government is providing interest free loans and vocational training to special persons in collaboration with Punjab Social Protection Authority and Skills Development department so that they could earn their livelihood through their own business, she added. Dr. Ayesh Ghaus Pasha said that the stipend will be continued in next financial year for those disable persons who are not able to earn for them. She said that the project of distribution of cattle will be expanded and maximum job oppourtuntines will be created for educated special persons. She inform the participants that live stock Department is provided special training of livestock to 45 thousands men and women in villages so that the shortage of dairy products could be met. The provincial Minister listened problems of rulers women and distributed cow and buffalos among ten women of District Nankana Shahib. She also distributed keys of 15 vehicles among MVDs at Tehsil Level. MPA Sajjad Hussain, Chief Executive Social Protection Authority Dr. Sohail Anwar Addl. Secretary Live Stock Sardar Ashiq Hussain Dogar, Deputy Secretary Irfan Khalid, DG Live Stock Dr. Qurban Hussain Addl. Director Sialkot, Dr. Khalil Ahmad Deputy Secretary technical Dr. Usman Tahir District Chairman Rana Attique Ahmad Anwar and DO Live Stock Dr. M. Sibtain were also present on the occasion.  Dr. Ayesh Ghaus Pasha congratulated winner women in balloting and appreciated the performance of Punjab Social Protection Authority and Livestock Department.
