Punjab AIDS Control Program Starts Medical Camp At Okara Truck Adda

Punjab AIDS Control Program has started month-long free medical camp for truck and bus drivers at Okara Goods Transport Welfare Association Office, Okara. Punjab AIDS Control Program is providing free test facility for Hepatitis B & C, TB, Diabetes, Blood Group and HIV. PACP will also provide free treatment for Hepatitis and HIV positive patients.

The event was inaugurated by Chairman Municipal Corporation District Okara Malik Ali Qadir. President Punjab Goods Transport Association Zulfiqar Ali Chaudhry, President Okara Goods Transport Welfare Association Chaudhry Muhammad Gulshan, General Secretary Okara Goods Transport Welfare Association Malik Khalid and other drivers, cleaners and helpers were present on the occasion. Punjab AIDS Control Program representative Yasir Abbas Mirza facilitated the camp. Chairman Municipal Corporation District Okara, Malik Ali Qadir said that the camp was an opportunity for truck and bus drivers to get free tests.

The Program plans to open similar camps in other busy centers for truck drives in all key districts across the province. PACP has organized similar camps at Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Sargodha, and Lahore.
