Uro-Gynea Center For Outdoor Patients Has Been Established At Lahore General Hospital

In order to provide total medical solution to all complications related to women health including maternity, ovaries and bladder under one roof, a Uro-Gynea center for outdoor patients has been established at Lahore General Hospital. Provincial minister for Population Welfare Begam Zakia Shahnwaz inaugurated the center today during a function attended by Prof. Ghiyas Un Nabi Tayyab, Principal Post Graduate Medical Institute and Lahore General Hospital, Prof. Mumtaz Ahmed President Pakistan Association of Urological Surgeons, prof. Muhammad Nazeer, Prof. Nuzhat Khawaja, Prof. Farhat Naz, MS Dr. Ghulam Sabir, faculty members and a large number of young doctors and nurses.

The Principal and other doctors told on this occasion that Uro-Gynea center will be very helpful for the treatment of pre and post childbirth complications faced by the mother in the same vicinity. Both urologists and gynecologists would be available at the same time and patients would not be bothered to be referred to other departments.

In her address, the minister said that proper pause between births of children is essential for mother and child health. She said that a large number of woman and children in Pakistan are facing s food shortage and an effective awareness campaign among women is required in this connection so as to sensitize them about taking good food during pregnancy. Dr. Ghulam Servar said that in order to fully utilize the limited sources and development, so far made, it is vital to be limited according to our size. The event was also addressed by Dr. Shahjehan, Dr. Khizar Hayat Gondal and Dr. Zeshan.
