Raids On Milk Producing Factories At Okara, 25000 Unhygienic Milk Wasted

Provincial Minister for Food Bilal Yasin has ordered that Food Authority will monitor supply of milk to all major cities of Punjab. He said that those involve in mixing of chemicals and other unhygienic material in milk will be dealt with iron hand. Today minister Food Bilal Yasin has raided two milk producing factories at Okara. At this occasion while talking to media Bilal Yasin has said that detergents, chemicals and unhygienic material were being mixed with milk in these factories which is highly dangerous to human health especially for children. Minister order to seal these factories named Gujjar Dairies and Kashmir Diaries. Bilal Yasin also ordered to registered FIR and arrest the factory owners. He directed officers of food Authority to collect sample for lab test, in which the sample was positive and showing mixing of detergents and chemicals in milk. Minister ordered to waste 25000 liter unhygienic milk on spot. He said that Punjab Food Authority is working round the clock to ensure the availability of healthy food and milk to the public. He said that Food Department has started campaign against the mafia involved in mixing of unhygienic chemicals across the province. He said that Food Department on their intelligence reporting is raiding on diaries and food factories to ensure the quality of food. At this occasion, ADC Revenue Okara, Deputy Director Food Authority, officials of Health Department accompany the Food Minister.
