On the recommendation of Provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare & Medical Education Kh. Salman Rafique, the Vice Chancellor University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Prof. Dr. Fazal Khalid has agreed to name the Stadium of the University after religious scholar Junaid Jamshaid. Kh. Salman Rafique said that a formal ceremony would be held on February 6. The family members of Junaid Jamshaid would also attend the function. He further said that a plaque of the name of late Janaid Jamshaid would be fixed in the stadium. It is pertinent that Junaid Jamshaid who was martyred in plane crash near Chitral, was the class fellow in the University and close friend of Kh. Salman Rafique. In this connection, Minister Health Kh. Salman Rafique called on the Vice Chancellor UET Dr. Fazal Khalid on Tuesday and thanked him for giving approval for naming the stadium after Junaid Jamshaid.
