Pakistani Nation Is United On The War Against Terrorism: Provincial Minister For Human Rights & Minorities

Provincial Minister for Human Rights & Minorities Affairs Khalil Tahir Sandhu has said that Pakistani nation is united on the war against terrorism. He said that government has adopted comprehensive policy to fight against extremism and to eradicate sick minded approach from the society. He said that Punjab government is fully implementing National Action Plan at Provincial level. He said that it is need of the hour to promote positive image of Pakistan among international community through promotion of culture and trade. He said that martyrs of Quetta attack is the pride of the nation.

He expressed these views while meeting with the Ambassador of Norway His Excellency Tore Nedrebo here today. He said that Pakistan and Norway has friendly bilateral relations, in Punjab various projects regarding culture and archeology is underway with the collaboration of Norway. He said that Human Rights & Minorities Department is working to ensure protection of minorities’ rights in the province. A provincial task force on human rights has also been established in this regard. Minister said that it is very necessary to eradicate intolerance and stereotyping from the society by promoting interfaith harmony. Khalil Tahir Sandhu said that Pakistan has already bore huge sacrifices on war against terrorism, international community should respect the stance of Pakistan towards terrorism. The Ambassador of Norway said that Norway is the second big investor in Pakistan after China. He said that his country is ready to provide all possible cooperation for the prosperity and better future of Pakistan. In the meeting matters of mutual interest and issues related to minorities were also discussed.
